The School of Architecture (ETSAM) at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid will host the conference through its Department of Architectural Composition. The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid was founded in the 18th century, during Charles III reign, when a number of educational centres were established in Spain. ETSAM dates back to 1848, and it is the oldest architecture school in the country. Today, ETSAM is home to about 5000 students and around 400 teaching staff in a 1933 building, which was designed by Pascual Bravo Sanfeliú. Behind its classicist appearance, it shows the influence of the Bauhaus building in Dessau in its plan layout and its interior.
